Olivier Tonneau, Founding Partner at Quantonation, was recently invited by CNBC to discuss the current dynamics of quantum technologies and their emergence as a new investment frontier for deeptech.
During the interview, he recalled that quantum technologies are gradually leaving the field of research to enter an industrial adoption phase:
“Companies are now solving real industry problems.”
He also stressed that the maturity of the sector could accelerate in the coming years:
“It will take maybe four to five years to get to industrial scale.”
Finally, questioned on the international position of Europe and the United Kingdom, he praised the scientific quality of the continent:
“Finally, the UK is great at something and out in front.”
