A partnership at the crossroads of finance, defence and national memory

On the occasion of the centenary of the Bleuet de France, a national symbol of solidarity towards the fighting world, Audacia announces an unprecedented partnership through its new fund dedicated to defense and industrial sovereignty: Straton.

Created in 1925, the Bleuet de France has for a century embodied resilience and recognition towards those who have served the Nation. By associating with this work, Audacia reaffirms its conviction that financial performance can be combined with a deeply human and patriotic approach.

“Investing in defence is not preparing for war, it is giving ourselves the means to preserve peace and ensure our collective security. By partnering with the Bleuet de France, we wish to remind that Defense is first and foremost about women and men, and that its funding only makes sense if it recognizes their commitment.”
Thomas Schmitz, associate director of Audacia and manager of the Straton fund

As part of this partnership, a significant portion of the performance compensation received by Straton’s management team will be donated to Bleuet de France, in order to support its actions in favor of the wounded, widows, orphans and war wards.

“This partnership with Audacia perfectly embodies the spirit of the Bleuet de France: uniting generations, institutions and companies around a common duty of solidarity.”
Pierre-Emmanuel de Laforcade, general manager of the Bleuet de France

Straton: a fund at the service of performance and sovereignty

With a target size of €150 million, the Straton fund will invest between €2 and €15 million in unlisted French SMEs from the Defence Industrial and Technological Base (BITD), with high innovation and export potential.
Its investments will focus on three priorities:

  • Technological: spatial, AI, cybersecurity, drones, advanced electronics;
  • Capacity: increase in production rates and consolidation of industrial sectors;
  • Resilience: supply, maintenance, logistics and equipment of armed forces.

“The defense of the 21st century will be the result of permanent innovation, supported by a visionary and responsible finance.”
Charles Beigbeder, president of Audacia
